Scope of water and environmental testing
Praman holds accredited scope for potable and packaged drinking water, process and boiler water, sewage and industrial effluent, ambient air, stack emissions, noise, soil and sludge. Reports are issued in the formats the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and municipal authorities expect.
Our field team carries out the sampling itself where a result has legal or consent consequences, because a perfect analysis of a badly drawn sample is a perfectly useless number.

Frequently asked questions
Our environmental scope is NABL accredited and the laboratory is recognised for environmental monitoring in Maharashtra. Reports are issued with the consent conditions reproduced alongside measured values, in the format the board expects with returns. We will share a specimen report before you commission the work.
For consent-linked, legal or tender work, we sample, using our own trained team, chain-of-custody seals and preserved containers issued by us. For routine internal monitoring you can submit your own samples, provided they arrive in our containers within the holding time for the parameters requested.
Microbiological samples must reach us within six hours at 4°C. Most chemical parameters allow 24 to 48 hours with correct preservation; BOD and residual chlorine are far shorter. We issue a holding-time sheet with the sampling kit and we will reject a sample that arrives outside it rather than report a number we do not trust.
Yes. Multi-site contracts include a fixed sampling calendar, our own field team, consolidated monthly reporting and a trend dashboard that flags parameters drifting towards a consent limit before they cross it.
Both, routinely, pools against IS 3328 style parameters including residual chlorine, pH and microbiology, and recycled STP water against the end-use quality your application requires, whether that is flushing, gardening or cooling tower make-up.
