About Praman Analytical Laboratories
Praman Analytical Laboratories was founded in Mumbai in 2011 by four analytical chemists who had spent a decade watching good products fail on bad numbers. The company exists to produce results that hold up, to a regulator, to an overseas buyer, and to a court.
Our position
Independence and impartiality
The phrase is used loosely in Indian testing. At Praman it has a specific, auditable meaning: we have no ownership stake in, no commercial relationship with, and no revenue share from any manufacturer, trader or distributor whose products pass through our laboratory.
We do not sell ingredients. We do not consult on formulation and then test the result. We do not certify products. We measure, we report, and the number is the number, including when it is the number a client did not want.
- No director holds an interest in a testing client’s business.
- Analyst remuneration is not linked to result outcomes or to repeat volumes.
- An impartiality committee with two external members reviews conflicts annually.
- Clients cannot see a result before technical review is complete.

Founded in Andheri East
Started as a 1,800 sq ft wet-chemistry laboratory with eleven people and one HPLC.
2014
First NABL accreditation
ISO/IEC 17025 granted for chemical testing of food and water; 190 methods on scope.
2017
Microbiology & FSSAI notification
Class 10,000 microbiology suite commissioned; notified as an FSSAI food laboratory.
2020
Mass spectrometry bay
LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS and ICP-MS installed, taking pesticide and metal work to trace level.
2023
Pharma division
Dedicated GLP-aligned wing for assay, impurity profiling and ICH stability storage.
2026

1,450 methods on accredited scope, 86 scientists, and a client portal with raw-data access.

Client identity, sample details and results are disclosed to no one, including other clients in the same sector, except where law compels us.
Honest turnaround
We quote the date we can actually meet and we tell you the same day if a run fails and needs repeating.
